Tom Holland Returns as Spider-Man: Actor Shares First Day Back in New Suit
Tom Holland has officially begun filming his fourth Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and the actor reveals that donning the iconic suit “feels different this time.”
First Day Back as Spider-Man
Earlier this month, Holland took to Instagram to share his experience returning to the role that made him a household name. In a candid minute-long video, the actor expressed both excitement and a hint of nervousness about his return to the character.
“My fourth ever day one on Spider-Man,” Holland shared in the video. “It’s funny putting the suit on. It feels different this time somehow. It’s also the first time we’ve ever had fans on set for day one.”
New Suit, New Story
The actor recently unveiled his new Spider-Man costume, featuring a notably larger spider emblem on the chest compared to his previous suits from Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home.
Star-Studded Cast Returns

While plot details remain largely under wraps, the story follows the events of No Way Home, where Peter Parker’s identity was erased from everyone’s memory. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers returning as screenwriters.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to swing into theaters on July 31, 2026.
